Team Bentley made its big comeback to motorsports last year, scoring major wins at Silverstone and Le Castellet with Bentley’s new high-performance racing machine, the Bentley Continental G3. The new Breitling for Bentley GT3 Chronograph — the latest product collaboration between the Swiss watch manufacture and the British luxury automaker — pays tribute to this exceptional vehicle.
The Breitling for Bentley GT3, a limited edition of 500 pieces worldwide, continues the Breitling for Bentley tradition started in 2003, when Breitling, main sponsor to Team Bentley, unveiled the original Bentley Le Mans chronograph watch in celebration of the team sweeping the first two places in that year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. The new watch — with its black titanium case, carbon fiber dial, twin-counter chronograph system and chronometer-certified movement — clearly displays the design DNA of the GT3 racecar.
The engine in this very exclusive Bentley is the Breitling Caliber 27B, which is officially chronometer-certified by the Swiss testing agency COSC. It features automatic winding, a high-frequency balance (28,800 vph) and 38 jewels. The chronograph measures elapsed times to 1/4th of a second. The solid caseback is engraved with the Bentley Continental GT3 logo and the limited-edition series number. The Continental GT3 emblem is also inscribed on the black rubber strap, which continues the knurled Bentley motif of the bezel. The Breitling for Bentley GT3 Chronograph carries a retail price of $11,850.
Geez!! I don’t know whether it’s just me but Breitling seem to be losing their way. This watch is just to much information to the human eye.
