On its newly launched website, koboldwatch.com, Pittsburgh-based Kobold Watch Co. is offering the new Soarway Transglobe to existing Kobold clients for only $2,650 (offer expires June 30th). Made in Nepal, The Soarway Transglobe was designed with the help of explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes.
The watch features a second-time-zone indicator that displays hours as well as minutes, designed with countries like India and Nepal — where time zones may have differences of 15-30 minutes, instead of the usual full hour — in mind, The watch also has a day/night indicator synched to the second time zone. Its stainless steel case houses a modified ETA caliber 2892-A2, which Kobold has renamed Caliber K.793.
