Video: Assembling the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Grand Complication

Jeff Kingston visits Audemars Piguet’s Grand Complications Workshop in Le Brassus, Switzerland, where the brand’s most complex timepieces are assembled. In this exclusive video, Kingston shows us the various stages in the assembly of the Royal Oak Offshore Grand Complication, which debuted at SIHH 2013 in Geneva. We will see all the different elements of the Grand Complication and how they come together — from the perpetual calendar movement components to the dial and hands, to the final casing stage. Audemars Piguet’s guide Mark Schmidt leads Kingston, and us, through the entire process, starting from when the parts arrive in the Grand Complication room.

IBG Worldwide is a video platform dedicated to demonstrating how the finest timepieces are really made. It hosts our documentaries that educate collectors in the many techniques used in the creation of sophisticated mechanical watches. This is an English-language video channel that no individual watch brand could create by itself.
