  • Tudor

Tudor is a premium Swiss watchmaking brand drawing on a rich watchmaking heritage to offer a distinctive retro-chic style, with high-quality mechanics and finishing, for affordable prices. Since the brand name was registered for Hans Wilsdorf, founder of Rolex, in 1926, Tudor has benefited from Rolex’s watchmaking expertise, quality control, and service. Tudor and Rolex are the two brands in the portfolio owned by the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, which was set up in 1945 by the founder. Tudor was re-launched in 2007 with a distinctive personality and a high level of independence in its design, manufacturing, and communication. In September of 2013, Tudor officially returned to the United States market and has since become a popular brand in its own right among watch enthusiasts both new and old.

Set and Ready: A Hands-On Review of the Breitling Superocean Héritage II

Breitling and Tudor made the decision to bundle their expertise in the design and production of mechanical watches even before changes came to the Breitling company. This became clear, not only in interviews with CEO Georges Kern, but as it is expressed by the timepieces themselves. A modified Breitling movement B01 powers Tudor chronographs as...

Tudor Embraces Two-Tone With Black Bay Chronograph S&G

Tudor's 2017 release of its first Black Bay Chronograph in 2017 was one of the watch world's most intriguing stories that year, mostly owing to the timepiece's use of a new movement sourced not from Tudor's "big brother" brand, Rolex, but from stopwatch specialist Breitling. The new Black Bay Chronograph S&G (Steel & Gold) is a vintage-look two-tone timepiece that will remind many Rolex aficionados of the classic "John Player Special" Cosmograph Daytona model of the late 1960s.
