Montblanc

Montblanc is a German luxury company focused on pens, watches, jewellery and leather items. Montblanc was founded in 1906 (named Simplo Filler Pen) with the introductory product offered in 1909 under the name Rouge et Noir in 1909. One year later the first pen named Montblanc emerged. Montblanc’s Meisterstück brand (Masterpiece) first appeared in 1924, for the premium fountain pen versions.

One of Montblanc most recognized visual items is the white six-pointed star with rounded edges (stands for the Mont Blanc mountain snowcap from above, where “4810,” in Montblanc’s product refers to the height of the Mont Blanc mountain). In 1977 Dunhill bought Montblanc and expanded the brand to a large selection of luxury goods. Nowadays Montblanc is owned by Richemont (Piaget, IWC, Panerai, Vacheron Constantin). Notable Montblanc watch models include the Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec, Montblanc Star, Montblanc Star Classique, Montblanc Star 4810, Montblanc Timewalker, Montblanc Flyback, Montblanc Meisterstueck.
