German brand Sinn Spezialuhren, which is known for its professional diver’s and pilot’s watches equipped with inhouse developed technological innovations such as scratch resistance, water resistance, temperature tolerance, and magnetic resistance, launches Model 1739 Ag B. The two-handed dress watch indicating the hour and minute is surprisingly clad in polished silver.
This precious metal is not commonly used for watch cases because it is relatively soft and tarnishes easily. However, the alchemists at Sinn Spezialuhren use a special alloy with 935 Argentinum that is more resistant than common silver. Its matte sheen exterior works beautifully with the intense blue and sunburst finished dial and its polished hour indexes and hands. As is typical for Sinn Spezialuhren, the 39-mm case is pressure-resistant to 10 bar. Outfitted with a sapphire case back, it reveals the automatic caliber SW300-1. The elegant watch comes on a leather strap and retails for $2,680.
