Black Friday Special: 30 Ladies’ Watches for the Holidays

In spite of the challenges of 2020, watch manufacturers introduced many outstanding timepieces designed especially for women during the year. Here we present 30 newly released ladies’ watches that offer a wide range of options for holiday gift giving.

ALEXANDER SHOROKHOFF
Inspired by the changing seasons, this new “Autumn” model from Alexander Shorokhoff has a handmade dial with a finely detailed leaf motif in fall tones, covered in diamond powder to create a sparkling backdrop. The “chocolate” gold-plated case is 39 mm in diameter and water resistant to 50 meters. It has an engraved caseback with a sapphire glass window for a view of the self-winding ETA 2824 movement, which has a hand-engraved, gold-plated rotor and a power reserve of 45 hours. The timepiece is presented on a dark red stingray strap with a “chocolate” gold pin buckle. Price: $2,100.

BELL & ROSS
The new Bell & Ross BR 05 Black Steel & Gold combines satin-finished and polished steel and 18k rose gold for a sporty yet elegant look. The 40-mm geometric watch has an integrated bracelet that fuses to the case to create a unified piece that adapts seamlessly to any wrist. The black sunray dial contrasts with rose-gold appliqué numerals, indexes and skeletonized hour and minute hands, which are filled with Super-LumiNova for legibility at night. The case is water resistant to 100 meters. The sapphire caseback allows a view of automatic Caliber BR-CAL.321, wound by a 360-degree ruthenium-coated oscillating weight. Price: $10,900.

BLANCPAIN
Born in the early 1980s, the design of the Villeret collection took shape around a set of attributes rooted in the grand watchmaking tradition, including a slender double-stepped case, an understated dial, applied gold hour markers and sage leaf-shaped hands. The Villeret Ultraplate is a new addition to the family: an ultra-slim 38-mm-diameter timepiece displaying the date and offering a contemporary take on the collection’s signature codes. Offered in a steel or rose-gold case with a white or opaline dial or as a gem-set model. As shown, the rose-gold case is set with diamonds (0.60 ct.) and the opaline dial is also set with diamonds (0.04 ct.). Sapphire crystal caseback. Automatic Blancpain Caliber 1150 uses two series-coupled barrels and high-performance springs for a 100-hour power reserve. Available with an alligator leather strap with folding buckle or a mille mailles bracelet in steel or gold. Price as shown: $22,200.

BOVET
The House of Bovet continued to enhance its women’s collection in 2020 as demonstrated by the new edition of the Miss Audrey timepiece. It now features a green guilloché dial inspired by the lotus flower and set with four diamonds (approx. 0.048 ct.). The timepiece is housed in the Amadéo convertible case, crafted in steel with a diameter of 36 mm. The bow and bezel are set with 103 round-cut diamonds (approx. 0.99 ct.). The case’s convertible feature allows the timepiece to be worn on the wrist, transformed into a table clock, or turned into a pendant without the use of any tools. Automatic in-house movement 11BA 15 has a 42-hour power reserve. Presented on a full-grain alligator strap with stainless-steel ardillon buckle. A long jade bead necklace is included. BREGUET
For the first time, Breguet highlights the oval shape of the Reine de Naples dial with pure, bright white grand feu enamel and numerals in celestial shades. The demanding grand feu enamel technique creates dials with a unique grain and immutable colors. The Reine de Naples 8918 has stylized Breguet Arabic numerals that appear in blue enamel, as do the Breguet signature and the words: émaillé Grand Feu. The off-center hours ring has dot indexes, diamond-shaped and fleurs-de-lis markers, punctuated by a pear-shaped diamond at 6 o’clock (approx. 0.08 ct.). The Breguet hands are blued steel. The white-gold case has a bezel and dial flange set with 117 diamonds (approx. 0.99 ct.). The sapphire caseback reveals self-winding manufacture Caliber 537/3, with a 45-hour power reserve. The crown has a briolette-cut diamond (approx. 0.26 ct.) . The alligator leather strap is fitted with a folding buckle set with 28 diamonds (approx. 0.17 ct.). Price: $37,400.

BULGARI
The Divas’ Dream watch makes its mark with self-assured style and exemplifies Bulgari’s passion for unexpected materials and vivid colors. The watch is set with a vibrant peacock’s feather on its dial and brilliant-cut diamonds on its white-gold bezel and fan-shaped links. The fan-shaped motif of the collection draws its inspiration from the mosaics of the Roman Baths of Caracalla and embraces the natural beauty of the iridescent feather. The white-gold crown is set with a cabochon-cut pink tourmaline. The 37-mm white-gold case houses the automatic manufacture BVL 191 caliber. Blue alligator strap with white-gold pin buckle. BULOVA
This new Classic model from Bulova has a tank-style gold-tone stainless-steel case and a white mother-of-pearl dial with gold-tone hands and three diamond hour markers. A scratch-resistant faceted mineral crystal sits above the dial. The 18-mm rectangular case has a solid caseback and is water resistant to 30 meters. The bangle-style bracelet is gold-tone stainless steel. Quartz movement. Also available in a rose-gold-tone or two-tone version with a white mother-of-pearl dial or in a silver-tone version with a black mother-of-pearl dial. As shown: $275.

CARL F. BUCHERER
The Manero Auto Date Love comes in nine variations featuring bold colors, graceful details, and the finest quality materials and Swiss automatic movements. The collection was created in partnership with global brand ambassador Chinese actress Li Bingbing and inspired by her charitable foundation L.O.V.E. Responsible Life and dedicated to the multifaceted modern woman. Three of the variants feature vibrant red dials adorned with a fine sprinkling of gold dust; three with a petrol blue dial, as shown here, strike a completely different tone with a combination of warm and cool hues. The final three have white mother-of-pearl dials with one of this trio adorned with 62 diamonds. The watches feature 35.5-mm cases in rose gold, stainless steel or two-tone. They are powered by the CFB 1971 caliber with a 42-hour power reserve. Alligator leather strap in red, petrol blue or purple; or stainless-steel or two-tone bracelet. As shown: $5,100.

CHOPARD
The Chopard Alpine Eagle collection radiates a contemporary and elegant allure: a round case with stylized sides, a crown engraved with the compass rose, a textured dial with deep hues and luminescent indications, and an integrated metal bracelet. This new 41-mm timepiece from the collection features a Bernina gray brass stamped dial, inspired by the iris of the eagle, framed by a diamond-set bezel (1.3 ct.). Gilded applied hour markers and numerals and baton-type hour and minute hands enhanced with Super-LumiNova. The case and integrated bracelet are entirely crafted of ethical rose gold. Sapphire crystal above the dial and sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Water resistant to 100 meters. Automatic Chopard 01.01-C movement has a power reserve of 60 hours and is COSC certified. CITIZEN
This light-powered Silhouette Crystal watch from Citizen has a 25-mm rose-gold-tone stainless-steel case that glitters with Swarovski crystals. Swarovski crystals also adorn the mother-of-pearl dial and the rose-gold-tone stainless-steel bracelet. A single crystal tops the crown. The bangle design allows the watch to be worn alone or stacked with multiple bracelets. The Citizen Eco-Drive movement (Caliber E031) can generate power using any natural or artificial light source to keep the watch running without replacing the battery. Also available in a yellow-gold-tone version, a stainless-steel version, and a black-on-black version with rose-gold-tone accents. Price: $350.
