New Watches on Display at JCK Las Vegas

Zenith_pilot_150WatchTime spent the weekend in Las Vegas, but the slots and poker machines took a back seat to chronographs, tourbillons and GMTs as we discovered new watches, several of which we missed at Baselworld, at the JCK Watch and Jewelry Fair at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. Below are some of the highlights.

Zenith Aeronef Type 20 Annual Calendar
Zenith put its focus squarely on its vintage-aviation-inspired Type 20 Aeronef collection this year. Here’s the new Annual Calendar, with a new in-house movement, priced at $19,700 in rose gold, $11,000 in steel.

Bovet Amadeo Jumping Hour with Lady Hunter
Bovet Fleurier demonstrated its mastery of miniature painted dials with the new Amadeo Jumping Hour with Lady Hunter edition. Like all Amadeo watches, it is designed to function as a wristwatch, pocketwatch, and miniature table clock.
Oris Aquis Depth Gauge
Oris’s headliner was the new Aquis Depth Gauge, which boasts a patented technology that allows divers to determine their depth beneath the surface and retails for only $3,500.
Dubey & Schaldenbrand Grand Shar DBTI-front
Dubey & Schaldenbrand released a brand-new model at JCK that was not seen at Baselworld: the Grand Shar DB Ti Chronograph, which has a titanium case with a special treatment and a carbon fiber dial.
Dubey & Schaldenbrand Grand Shar DBTI-back
Dubey & Schaldenbrand has modified and decorated the ETA 7750 movement inside the Grand Shar DB Ti Chrono. The watch is limited to 26 pieces and retails for $13,700.
Baume & Mercier Capeland World Timer
Baume & Mercier, which introduces most of its new models at the SIHH in January, also had a new JCK release this year, the first World Timer in its Capeland collection. The movement comes from IWC, Baume’s sister brand in the Richemont Group. The new watch will retail for $7,900 in steel and $19,990 in rose gold.

All excelente watches, but two of them I appreciated more: the Zenith Type 20 Aeronef in rose gold and the Baume Mercier World Timer. The suggested retail price for the steel case version must be US$ 7,900 not US$ 17,900.
