More watch brands are unveiling their unique timepieces to be auctioned at the upcoming Only Watch in Monaco. Below, we take a look at the pieces to be offered by Bell & Ross, Richard Mille, and Jaquet Droz. All proceeds of the auction, held on September 28th 2013, will benefit the Monegasque Association against Muscular Dystrophy.
Bell & Ross is offering a set of six watches in a collectors’ box made of wood. The set features special editions of the BR01 Horizon, Altimeter, and Turn Coordinator created in 2012, and the BR01 Heading Indicator, Airspeed, and Climb created in 2013, each featuring orange design elements against the black dials. The box holding the watches is designed to resemble the dashboard of an aircraft cockpit, with each watch representing a key instrument.
Richard Mille will donate the unique Yohan Blake Tourbillon Prototype. Runner Yohan Blake wore the watch during the London Olympic Games, in which he won three medals. The watch is based on the RM038 and features the colors of the Jamaican flag.
Jaquet Droz will contribute The Loving Butterfly, a unique watch with a painting of the palace of Monaco on the dial. The watch also features a gold butterfly applied to the dial. The butterfly’s gold wire legs are suspended and sway slightly with each movement of the wrist.
