I landed in Miami last night to attend the world renowned Art Basel Miami Beach art fair as a guest of Swiss watch brand Girard-Perregaux. The show will provide the big stage on which G-P will introduce its new collection of sports watches, called the Hawk. The company has released little info about the watches so far, but I can show you a photo (below) of one of the new models in advance of the launch event tomorrow night. A Girard-Perregaux fan I spoke to yesterday, who’s seen the new watches, described the collection intriguingly, in terms that a serious sports-watch aficionado would understand: “The Hawk is to the Laureato collection,” he said, “as the Offshore is to the Royal Oak.”

Very nice styling. Reminds me of an Oris Diver a little but this is much better
