Dive Watch Wednesday: 5 Dive Watches You Can Wear With Your Santa Suit

Tissot Seastar 1000Since it is “that time of year” again, we at DiveIntoWatches felt it was important to provide an important bit of consumer advice to anyone finding himself in the position of wearing a fake white beard and a red coat soon for some festive occasion or other. Specifically, we’ve found five dive watches that won’t clash with your St. Nick ensemble.

(Of course, the following list could also be seen as another great excuse to reward yourself with a new watch right in time for Christmas: “‘If I really have to be Santa again, at least let me wear the right watch!”) We are convinced that putting on any of those five contemporary dive watches, ideal for color-coordinating with a Santa costume, will have you feeling the Christmas spirit immediately.

The newcomer: Titoni Seascoper (Ref. 83985 SRB-RB-517), 41 mm diameter, 200-meter water resistance, Sellita SW200 movement.

Stylish: Tudor Heritage Black Bay (Ref. 79220R), 41 mm diameter, 200-meter water resistance, ETA 2824 movement.

For the Traveler: Omega Seamaster Diver 300 M Co-Axial GMT Chronograph (Ref. 212.30.44.52.01.001), 44-mm diameter, 300-meter water resistance, Omega 3603 movement.

Size-Conscious: Sinn U200 SDR (EZM 8/Ref. 1012.030), 37-mm diameter, 2000-meter water resistance, ETA 2824 movement.

On a (slightly) more serious note, if you were indeed the real Santa, you would probably want to go with the Omega Seamaster, since its GMT function would prove a lot more useful than, say, great water resistance when you’re delivering gifts worldwide.

The Titoni watch fills the bill if you want a divers watch for it’s style rather than go dive. I get one.

Just love the Titoni Seascaper, but there are no UK agents. Have tried 3 in Germany but they did not even know the watch. Middle and Far East has lots of agents (11 in Dubai alone!). I called Titoni in Switzerland and guess what?; this watch retails for €895. The Sellita automatic is used also by Oris, so that’s a lot of watch for the money.

  4. The Titoni Seascoper is attractive with a reasonable price point. Now how do I go about getting one from an AD in the States without traveling overseas?
