Watch Insider: My Top 10 Watches From Baselworld

I thought now would be an ideal time to look back on my personal favorite watches from Baselworld, first published on my blog, Watch-Insider.com. Let me know if you agree with my choices (listed here in alphabetical order) and feel free to share your own favorites in the comments box below.

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Chronograph

This is a good-looking, incredibly cool ceramic watch equipped with Blancpain’s new 5-Hz flyback chronograph movement. For me, a must-have!

Glashütte Original Senator Chronograph Panorama Date

Congratulations are due to the watchmakers in Glashütte, who have developed an amazing new chronograph caliber, and used it in a wonderful timepiece.

Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Quantième Ivory Enamel

One of the best watch designs I have seen in a long time, and a fine example of “less is more.” The watch features a two-level enamel dial that looks just gorgeous.

Nomos Glashütte Metro

Not only a good-looking watch but also the start of new era at Nomos: the Nomos Metro is equipped with the company’s own in-house-developed escapement and hairspring.

If I were to choose to buy:

    Rolex, Rado and Nomos.

The Rado is extremely beautiful, but should not have the numbers in the small display and should have date.

The Rolex is very pleasing to the eye.

The Nomos is very nice to look at, but the Orion is the most beautiful of the brand.

    Great selection!

My choice would be Rolex, Zenith, Patek, Blancpain and both the Omegas.

The Sea dweller undoubtedly and the Patek because I am a Patek fan. This would make a great watch to wear everyday except for its lack of water resistance compared to the Rolex.

1/2 ex aequo Blancpain Bathyscaphe Chrono, and Jaquet Droz. Very beautiful and perfect to me.

The Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000 is absolutely for the guy who wants a Submariner with date but dislikes the Cyclops. Downside for him would be the price!!
