E.C.Andersson Launches New E.C.A Calypso Starting at $450

E. C. Andersson Calypso - pair

E.C.Andersson released the Calypso Premium watch with success just three month ago. Aimed at whom the brand describes as “the very pickiest enthusiasts,” it was positioned as a true high-end watch that would bring E.C.Andersson into a new segment — equipped with a reliable, automatic Swiss movement, the ETA 2824-2; regulated in-house to COSC chronometer standards; and customized with an in-house-made rotor, a sapphire display back and B3-Bohuslän hands on a radial-gradient dial. Despite reaching its goal of making what it considers its finest creation yet, E.C.Andersson Watch Co. didn’t want to stop there, which is why it’s now introducing an entry-level model to the Calypso family – a proud sibling, if you will – starting at only $450 during pre-order, or 30% off the listed price.

E.C.Andersson Watch Co. is releasing both models as a short pre-order special on its website, and expects to sell out during its 22-day running time. Fans of the brand are urged to order now so as not to miss out.

Calypso Premium

EC Andersson Calypso Premium - three-shot

Available on a sandblasted and polished 316L steel bracelet with butterfly clasp, or mounted on a tailor-made calf leather strap with custom-made buckle, the Premium model boasts a sandblasted case with polished bevels that harmoniously swirl around the edges from lug to lug; unique, modern indices on a radial gradient dial with semi-gloss ocean blue finish; and specially crafted “Bohuslän” arrow hands. The three-tone, custom-made rotor is displayed thru the sapphire crystal caseback and powers the Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement, certified within the COSC standards of chronometer precision.

E.C. Andersson Calypso Premium Dial CU

The Calypso Premium features an AR-Coated sapphire display back, so the owner can enjoy viewing the workings of the watch’s self-winding movement whenever he pleases.

E.C. Andersson Calypso Premium - Caseback

The Swiss ETA 2824-2 beating inside the Calypso Premium is hand-regulated in-house, ensuring a staggering precision within -1 and +4 seconds in average daily rate, and a maximum deviation of +/-4 seconds per 24 hours in five positions. The precision of the Calypso Premium is comparable with that of the absolute best in the business.

E.C. Andersson Calypso Premium - on wrist

The Calypso Premium, described as the “crown jewel” of the E.C.Andersson Collection, is limited to only 80 pieces, 35 of which will be released thru the pre-order special on the company’s website.

Calypso Sport

E.C. Andersson Calypso Sport - reclining

The Sport model is a high-quality sports watch with a case in sandblasted 316L steel with polished details and featuring a complex, dual-texture embossed dial and “ice-blue” illuminated hands and indices.

Powered by the Caliber 9015 automatic movement, with a stop-seconds function and 42 hours of power reserve, the Calypso Sport is available on a sandblasted and polished 316L steel bracelet with butterfly clasp, or on a genuine croc-grained black leather strap with a uni-molded E.C.A steel buckle.

E.C. Andersson Calypso Sport - Dial CU

The dial on the Calypso Sport has a dual-textured embossed surface, with a matte base and polished “Enslinje” pattern in relief on the top level.

E.C. Andersson Calypso Sport - wrist

The movement in the Calypso Sport is a hand-regulated Miyota 9015, made in Japan and beating at 28,800 beats per hour. The Calypso Sport is limited to 220 pieces.

E.C. Andersson Calypso - reclining pair

Both the Calypso Premium and Calypso Sport are available during the 22-days pre-order special period, both with a very generous discount for ordering early. You can pre-order your E.C.A Calypso here.

    I watched a review of your watch….Denise…it looked great…the crown threading was a problem…

I have a few suggestions on your next iteration..power indicator shouldnt cross through the sub dial.

I think it would be really cool if the 12 and the ring would make your logo..triangles with a line bisecting them.

End link design I like a flushed braclet…maybe you can include them in the kit..I know extra links and pins but it would be great…

    Sail clothe band too

If you ever felt generous I would love one of your watches…cant afford any these days…stay safe and have a great holiday season.
