For Ralph Lauren, the 1920’s elegance and daring spirit of optimism have long been a source of inspiration. For 2012, Ralph Lauren presents two new interpretations of his Art Deco Slim Classique design featuring thin silhouettes, elegant guilloché engraving and masterful gem setting.
The first new Ralph Lauren 867 watch model places a single row of brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel, set off by a glossy black frame that emphasizes the rectilinear form of the watch.
On the second new 867 model, two rows of brilliant-cut diamonds make the bezel sparkle. Diamonds have also been set into the lugs, and a single rosecut diamond adorns the crown.
Both models feature traditionally crafted silver opaline dials with strongly-defined black Roman and Arabic numerals. Presented in 18k white gold, these models are worn with a black alligator strap and matching white gold pin buckle, and both are executed in a classic 27.5mm width.
As with the other models in the Slim Classique collection, these watches are powered by an ultra-flat (2.1mm thin) hand-winding movement crafted by Piaget for Ralph Lauren.
Pricing has not been finalized, but as we go to press the suggested retail price for the 867 watch with one row of diamonds is $18,300, and the 867 watch with two rows of diamonds is $18,800.
