Records Fall at Elegant Inside Basel/Geneva New York

Inside Basel/Geneva 2010 New York

WatchTime’s Inside Basel/Geneva 2010 New York City event proved the most successful and most elegant yet as a record gathering of more than 250 enthusiasts and collectors enjoyed a refined evening (jacket and tie required) at one of the city’s most prestigious private clubs in the heart of Manhattan. Sixteen leading manufacturers and independents showed their latest creations beneath an ornate, soaring ceiling and chandeliers.

Guests enjoyed cocktails in the distinguished surroundings while meeting executives and trying on the newest offerings from A. Lange & Söhne, Armin Strom, Blancpain, Carl F. Bucherer, Cartier, Girard-Perregaux, IWC, Jean Dunand, Ladoire, Linde Werdelin, Maîtres du Temps, MB&F, Montblanc, Panerai, Parmigiani, Peter Speake-Marin, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, and Zenith. This is the largest number of participating brands at an IBG event to date.

Following the reception, guests enjoyed an exceptional dinner while noted collector and writer Jeff Kingston presented his better-than-ever tour of Baselworld, SIHH, and the Geneva Time Exhibition. Jeff covers more than 40 brands, bringing you his insights into the 2010 highlights. Jeff also includes a few of the most over-the-top pieces, some of which you have very likely never seen. This year’s show includes exclusive, behind-the-scenes HD video, including segments shot in manufacturer workshops.

About Mike Disher

My name is Mike Disher and I am WatchTime's technical editor. My interest in watches dates to 1972 and I caught the internet bug in 1997. In 1999 I combined these interests by joining TimeZone.com as its first full-time employee, and later that year I attended my first Basel Fair.
