On September 16 more than 140 collectors and enthusiasts attended WatchTime’s penultimate Inside Basel/Geneva show at the Down Town Club in Philadelphia. The energy in the room was high as guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, met fellow enthusiasts, brand executives, and leading independent watchmakers, and tried on the latest watches from the Swiss shows.
During the cocktail reception, guests were able to test drive the latest timepieces from A. Lange & Söhne, Carl F. Bucherer, Cartier, Girard-Perregaux, IWC, Jean Dunand, Maîtres du Temps, MB&F, Montblanc, Parmigiani, Peter Speake-Marin, Piaget, and Vacheron Constantin. Following the reception, it was off to the dining room for a delicious dinner with wine and Jeff Kingston’s whirlwind tour of the Baselworld, SIHH, and the Geneva Time Exhibition. Jeff’s videos take guests behind the scenes and into the workshops of some of the leading brands.
Don’t forget, there’s only one Inside Basel/Geneva show left for 2010. It’s in Chicago on September 29. The participating brands are A. Lange & Söhne, Armin Strom, Bulgari, Carl F. Bucherer, Cartier, Daniel Roth, De Bethune, Gerald Genta, Girard-Perregaux, IWC, Jean Dunand, Ladoire, Linde Werdelin, Maîtres du Temps, Montblanc, Parmigiani, Peter Speake-Marin, Piaget, and Vacheron Constantin.
