Wempe and Nomos Glashütte Release Tangente neomatik 41 Update – Signature Collection

With the Tangente neomatik 41 Update – Signature Collection, limited to 200 pieces, Wempe opens the next chapter in its collaboration with renowned watch brands. For the Signature Collection, the Hamburg-established, family-run jeweler partners with brands to reimagine their most iconic styles in unique limited edition versions sold exclusively at Wempe boutiques worldwide and via Wempe’s website. After working together with Breitling, Hublot, and Chopard, Wempe now unveils the fruits of the collaboration with Nomos Glashütte. Germany’s largest manufacturer of mechanical watches and the country’s most important watch retailer have maintained a close partnership for 20 years, including many special editions.

“The Tangente is not only the most successful model from Nomos, but it has also written its own chapter of German watch history. No other watch model has ever been manufactured for this long at the traditional site of Saxon watchmaking,” explains Bernhard Stoll (63).

“Many watch industry insiders describe the Tangente as a Bauhaus watch,” says the CEO of Wempe’s watch division. “In order to do the high standards of watch fans justice and offer a manufacture watch at an especially fair price, we have decided to realize this icon exclusively with a unique dial look in ice blue as the fourth model in the successful Wempe Signature Collection.”

Two useful patents are found within the Tangente neomatik 41 Update – Signature Collection, which is driven by the brand’s genuine caliber DUW 6101. One is the especially legible date surrounding the perimeter of the dial and the two ambulant markers between which the current date numeral is shown. The other concerns the mechanism that allows the date to be corrected both forward and backward.

The expressive ice-blue dial with navy-blue numerals, markers, and hands is paired with a svelte stainless steel case that measures just 7.8mm in height and has a diameter of 40.5mm. The watch is fitted with a case back that displays the high finishing standard of the self-winding movement.

The Tangente neomatik 41 Update – Signature Collection is available at all Wempe branches carrying Nomos Glashütte watches and at wempe.com. Pricing is marked at $4,100 (not including applicable taxes).
