HYT Debuts the Hastroid Supernova Blue at Geneva Watch Days

The Swiss independent manufacture HYT, known and praised for its innovative liquid time indication, introduces a new variant of the Hastroid Supernova at this year’s Geneva Watch Days. As the name suggests, the fluid in the capillary that indicates the hours in a retrograde fashion is distinguished by a deep blue shade. The central hour hand and the hands of the subsidiary seconds between 9 and 10 o’clock as well as the one indicating the power reserve on the opposite side are color coordinated. The vibrant tone creates a nice contrast to the glossy anthracite of the carbon and titanium case as well as the signature honeycomb grid with the luminescent hour markers.

The hand-wound caliber 501 sets the pace inside the massive case with a diameter of 48 x 52.3mm. The movement amasses a power reserve of 72 hours and showcases parts of its intriguing mechanism through the open-worked dial.

The new HYT Hastroid Supernova Blue is limited to 27 pieces and has a price tag of 70,000 CHF without taxes, or just above $72,250 USD when converted at the time of writing.
