Vacheron Constantin Caliber 1731At SIHH 2014, Vacheron Constantin introduced the Patrimony Contemporaine Ultra-Thin Calibre 1731, which it calls “the world’s thinnest manual-winding minute repeater.” The watch’s gold case is only 8.09 mm thick, and its movement, Caliber 1731, is a mere 3.9 mm thick. During the watch’s launch at SIHH, Vacheron presented a video showcasing the brand’s history of ultra-thin repeater watches and revealing the workings of this groundbreaking movement, which we present for you below.
