RGM Watches has redesigned its website, making additional information available and easier to find. The site is also integrating its content with popular social networking sites Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, allowing fans to receive updates instantly. The site’s navigation is now upgraded, making it more consistent and intuitive.

RGM is also announcing a trade-in program, allowing customers to trade one or more watches toward the purchase of a new RGM. The brand says that while it can’t promise to accept every watch offered for trade, they will do all they can to satisfy the customer.

Trade-in value will be determined based on several factors, including current market value (based on auction results and other sales data), condition of the item and completeness (original accessories, boxes, papers, etc.), desirability in the pre-owned market, and RGM’s potential expenses to service the watch for resale with warranty.

RGM will examine any watches offered for trade and inform the owner of trade value after a thorough inspection. RGM asks that customers contact them to discuss any watch they may want to trade prior to sending it in for inspection.

To see the new site and learn more about the trade-in program, visit www.RGMwatches.com, or click the image below.

RGM Watch Company announces the launch of America’s first serially-produced tourbillon movement, the Caliber MM 2 “Pennsylvania Tourbillon”. The company’s new flagship mechanical movement will be produced by hand at its Lancaster, Pennsylvania facility and it will power a small, numbered series of watches available both as a standard model and as custom-ordered pieces.

Housed in a 43mm x 12mm case of either steel or 18k gold, the movement presents a symphony of layers and textures, showcasing many great elements of traditional watchmaking practiced by RGM. Finely polished components share space with brushed elements and perlage. Wheel cocks borrow their shape from the RGM 801 in-house caliber introduced in 2008, and from classic American movements of yesteryear. The spokes of the wheels continue this theme. A 7-tooth click and winding wheels with wolf’s teeth are immersed in plates with subtle striped damaskeening. The movement is made of the finest quality traditional watchmaking materials such as German silver, gold, silver, and black polished steel.

Additional features include hand-applied decoration such as guilloché (done on RGM’s antique rose engines), an inset hour and minute dial whose placement balances the exposed Tourbillon, and a small curved sapphire window on the side of the case to allow a third view of the miniature ‘whirlwind’, the Pennsylvania Tourbillon’s cage, which is this model’s namesake.

The standard models are $75,000 in stainless steel, $95,000 in rose or white gold, and $125,000 in platinum.

You are invited to join RGM on June 16th at 6:30 p.m. at the NAWCC Watch and Clock Museum in Columbia, Pennsylvania, to see this new Tourbillon and the RGM collection first hand.

Following the debut of the first American-produced mechanical watch movement made since 1969, RGM Watch Company is now producing its own watch cases in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The first RGM cases to be produced are those of the 151 series of automatic watches, including the 151P (black-dial Pilot model) and 151E (classic style with engraved dial).

In addition to having the ability to locally manufacture the standard 151 cases in stainless steel or gold, RGM is introducing a titanium version of the 151 – the brand’s first titanium production model. The next style scheduled to begin production is the 42 mm case designed to house RGM’s Caliber 801 – the large-size hand-wound movement that is also made in the Lancaster region, which is home to RGM and was the birthplace of some of the greatest watches in American history.
