Parmigiani Fleurier is a Swiss luxury watch company. Parmigiani Fleurier was founded in 1976, its name is based on the last name of the founder (Michel Parmigiani) and the city where it resides (Fleurier). As a traditional manufaturer, Parmigiani Fleurier builds all components of the watches in-house. It has no affiliations with any of the larger luxury groups like LVMH, Richemont, Swatch Group or PPR. Notable models include the Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpa, Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda, Parmigiani Fleurier Bugatti, Parmigiani Fleurier Pershing, Parmigiani Fleurier Transforma, Parmigiani Fleurier Ovale, Parmigiani Fleurier Toric. The ladies' collection includes the Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpa, Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda, Parmigiani Fleurier Pershing. Laslty, Parmigiani Fleurier also produces clocks. Parmigiani Fleurier prices range up to $200,000 (for the Bugatti model) and among the most popular watches currently are the Parmigiani Fleurier Toric chronograph and Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda. As we reveal in our July-August issue, on sale July 15, watch brands spent almost half a billion dollars on advertising in the U.S in 2013. The total was $492.68 million: a record high, and up 23.3 percent from the 2012 total. That figure comes from Kantar Media, which each year compiles estimates of ad spending for a range of different products.
