Christie’s, the world’s leading auction house, recently reported a boost in global sales for fine, rare and unique watches. A Patek Philippe Ref. 2499R, 3rd Series, brought $1,210,466 at Christie's May 30 Hong Kong sale. The perpetual calendar chronograph with moon phases in pink gold was manufactured in 1971.
