Maurice Lacroix has joined Fisker Automotive, makers of premium electric sports cars, for what the press release refers to as "word-wide brand-building activities." As part of the deal, the car company's founder, Henrik Fisker — who designed sports cars for BMW and Aston Martin before founding his own firm in 2007 — becomes an "Official Brand Ambassador" of Maurice Lacroix. A. Lange & Söhne Names BMW’s Wilhelm Schmid CEO

German watchmaker A. Lange & Söhne has appointed Wilhelm Schmid as Chief Executive Officer effective January, 2011. Schmid, 47, a German national, has held several positions in marketing and sales over the last eight years for BMW. Since 2007, he has been responsible for sales and marketing for BMW South Africa. As CEO, Schmidt will be entrusted with further developing the Lange brand and its operations. … [Read more...]

Hublot and Alinghi announced yesterday that Hublot has committed to support Alinghi's campaign in the 33rd America’s Cup. Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver (photo right) joined Alinghi team president Ernesto Bertarelli at Alinghi's training base in Genoa, Italy for the announcement.
