The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso by Christian Louboutin is a timepiece born of a collaboration between a classic Swiss watch brand and a designer familiar to women of means and taste. The watches bear the joint signature of Jaeger-LeCoultre and Christian Louboutin, one of the fashion world’s most revered luxury footwear designers. Louboutin used as his “canvas” for these creations the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic Duetto, which features the Reverso collection’s hallmark two dial faces with swiveling case. The front features the traditional dial and Art Deco-influenced lines of the Duetto family, while the back dial is framed by two rows of diamonds and has wildly creative use of colors and textures familiar to fans of Louboutin shoes.
When the original Blancpain Ladybird debuted in 1956, it set a world record at the time as the world’s smallest round watch, with a movement, Caliber R550, that measured just 11.85 mm in diameter yet boasted a lengthy (for the era) 40-hour power reserve. This special 60th-anniversary version of the Blancpain Ladybird is outfitted with a modern, self-winding movement, Caliber 6150, which remains one of the world’s smallest at 15.7 mm in diameter and 3.9 mm thick. The Harry Winston Premier Moon Phase 36mm has an 18k rose gold case with a bezel set with 57 brilliant cut diamonds. The dial combines two shades of mother-of-pearl — a pure white one for the main dial to represent daylight and a pearl blue on the central moon-phase disk that evokes the colors of the evening sky. Hours and minutes are indicated by beveled golden hands, while 12 brilliant cut diamonds in gold cabochons around the perimeter mark the hours. A crescent shaped opening allows a view of the migrating moon, while the date is displayed in a circle at 6 o’clock, below a pyramid of 18 more brilliant cut diamonds.
