Last night WatchTime and Jeff Kingston hosted the first of this year’s “Inside Basel-Geneva” watch collector events at the Union League Club in Chicago. It was the first IBG event held at the historic venue, and judging by the response of the sponsoring watch brands and the nearly 200 guests who attended (many of whom braved the snarled traffic caused by Chi-Town’s current teachers’ strike), it was a smashing success.
In between mingling with guests and watch brand representatives, I managed to snap a few photos of the cocktail hour and presentation dinner, a few of which are below. It was an amazing event. Had a blast. Kudos to all the staff in making the event spectacular.
I registered for the LA event on Oct 4. I figure it should be an entertaining evening.
