Perrelet’s Turbine Dragon

Perrelet’s newest Turbine watch is the Limited Edition Turbine Dragon. The launch of this watch was celebrated on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Soho Grand in New York City along with fine jewelry retailer Magnolia Jewelers. Among the guests in attendance were Michael Goldstein, president of Perrelet North America, and William Wu of Magnolia Jewelers.

As with the other pieces in Perrelet’s Turbine double-rotor collection, such as the Turbine Toxic Special Edition and Turbine XL America Limited Edition, the spinning blades on the Turbine Dragon reveal an image on the dial when in motion. The dial bears the image of a dragon, commemorating the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese zodiac. The dragon is carved out of hand-painted Polynesian mother-of-pearl and is set in a white mother-of pearl dial. This watch is limited to 99 pieces.
