This summer, Panerai held several yachting events with the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge North American Circuit, an ongoing series of regattas along the New England coast. They’ve also been active with Sailing Heals, the non-profit organization founded by Panerai N.A with the mission of providing cancer patients, survivors, and their caregivers a chance to relax on sailing and boating vessels. Throughout the 2012 yachting season, Sailing Heals has brought patients from Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and Nantucket Cottage Hospital as “VIP guests” for relaxing daytime sails.
“I immediately understood the initiative of Sailing Heals because when I sail I totally disconnect from the world on land and remain fully immersed in the wonders of the ocean, the breeze and the boat that lets you harness them,” said Volunteer Host Captain and PCYC racing participant Alessandro Pagani.
