Maurice Lacroix Contributes Masterpiece Seconde Mystérieuse to Only Watch

maurice_lacroix_seconde_onlywatch150Maurice Lacroix has introduced a one-of-a-kind version of its Masterpiece Seconde Mystérieuse as its contribution to the Only Watch charity auction being held in Monaco on September 28, 2013. Proceeds of the watch’s auction will benefit research for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The watch will join the rest of the Only Watch 2013 collection exhibition as it tours before the auction, which will stop in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, New York, and Geneva.

This version of the Masterpiece Seconde Mystérieuse features an ADLC (amorphous diamond-like carbon) treatment on its case, bridges, mainplate, skeletonized dial, crown and buckle. Its production process involves a “hail” of projectiles resulting in accelerated nanoscale reproductions of the combined heat and pressure that produce natural and synthetic diamond. The rotor of the movement, Caliber ML 215, is also ADLC treated, and engraved with “ONLY WATCH 2013- PIECE UNIQUE 1/1.”

Beautifully crafted watch, I normally do not comment but I had to on this one.
