p150Audemars Piguet has finally made it official. After having been named “general manager ad interim” in May 2012, François-Henry Bennahmias was recently made chief executive officer of the Audemars Piguet Group by the Swiss watch company’s board of directors. Bennahmias has been with the company since 1996, and became CEO of Audemars Piguet North America in 1999. (The family-owned brand and previous CEO Phillipe Merk ended their collaboration last year due to “differences in company strategy.”) Bennahmias himself made the announcement to a group of journalists during the AP press presentation at the SIHH watch fair in Geneva.
