Dive Watch Wednesday: Introducing the Technos Acqua 800 ATM

The recently revived, Brazilian-owned Swiss watch brand Technos seems to be focusing on dive watches for the Brazilian market — at least to judge by its URL and the language used on its website — and it looks like the brand is quite serious about them. Here’s a glimpse of its flagship model, the Acqua.

The Technos Acqua range offers an impressive water resistance of up to 8,000 meters and a rather competitive price tag around $1,000. There are currently only two other models currently on the market that offer a similar water resistance.

You will notice, however, the absence of a “Swiss Made” notification on the dial. Judging by the bezel insert, it appears that the Technos Acqua 800 ATM might have been produced by the same manufacturer that brought us the Delma Santiago Blue Shark, Krypton Dragonfish, and Tavannes Ocean Edge models.

The 27-mm-thick and 51-mm-large titanium case (including the crown) features an integrated helium-release valve at 9 o’clock and houses an automatic Miyota 8215 movement.
