If you are as much into dive watches as we are at DiveIntoWatches.com, last week’s WatchTime New York event offered at least 30 additional very good reasons to visit the show at Gotham Hall. And just in case you missed it, here is a comprehensive overview of what the sponsoring brands had on display (from A to Z):
Ball Watch Co. showed most of its current collection; among the brand’s comprehensive range of dive watches was the recently relaunched Skindiver II (which we introduced here)…
…its flagship dive watch model, the 3,000-meter water-resistant Hydrocarbon DeepQuest,…
…and the Hydrocarbon Nedu chronograph – a model that was introduced in 2012 and combined a winding crown and a helium-release valve for the first time.
Blancpain already had the two latest additions for its Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe on display: the new Sedna gold…
…and the model in a black ceramic case (there was, of course, also the black Bathyscaphe Chrono and a model in the standard Fifty Fathoms line).
Carl F. Bucherer presented all versions of its 500 meter-water-resistant Patravi ScubaTec (which we reviewed here), including one of the more recent additiosn featuring a gold bezel…
…and a stainless steel version with red accents (a color first introduced to the collection in a soccer-themed edition in 2014).
Mühle Glashütte presented the 2,000 meter water-resistant Rasmus (pictured here is the blue version)…
…and the Kampfschwimmer, introduced in 2014.
RGM’s 300 Pro Diver Series 1 is definitely one of those dive watches you rarely see in real life: the watch comes with ceramic bezel insert…
…and what seems to be a rather angry sea monster on the caseback.
Seiko had most of its current Prospex (as well as Grand Seiko) range on display. For example:
…the limited-edition (1,000 pieces) Marinemaster 300 (SBDX012) with gold and red accents…
…a non-working prototype (hence the slightly “off” dial) of the limited-edition (700 pieces) Hi-Beat Marinemaster 1000 (SBEX001)…
…the mechanical version of the new Marinemaster 1000 (SBDX014) with rose gold bezel…
…as well as the quartz-powered Marinemaster 1000 (SBBN027)…
…and a pair of 300-meter water-resistant Marinemaster 300s (SBBN031 and SBBN033).
Ulysse Nardin presented several versions of both generations of its Marine Diver collection (pictured above is the 2014 model in gold)…
…and surprisingly, even the limited edition featuring a camouflage dial (which we recently spotted in Dubai for the first time) was shown.
Visconti brought the Scuba Abyssus 3000 (which was launched in 2014 and which we introduced here) all the way from Italy…
…along with two versions of its 2015 introduced Abyssus 500 model.
The only pieces missing? We missed photographing Porsche Design’s P’6780 Diver and Bell & Ross’s Marine collection. We’ll have to use that as a most welcome excuse to visit the next WatchTime New York, perhaps in 2016…
