BRM’s Mak 44

p150WatchTime received an unexpected visit this week from Frederic Gasser of the French watch manufacturer BRM, who was anxious to show us the brand’s new timepiece, the Mak 44. It features a case made of Makrolon — according to Gasser, the material used in the windshields of racecars — and a skeletonized movement visible through the clear dial. Additional parts are made (many at the company’s workshop in France) from a lightweight titanium and its automatic movement — based on an ETA Valjoux 7753 — weighs only 48.8 grams. The watch will retail for $13,450. A Marco Andretti limited edition version will also be available.

  1. Not for me personally, I know you cant come close to getting an RM 011 for this price but none the less would rather have a Hublot. Just dont see it

    • This is a cool piece from BRM. It’s unique and surprisingly not a limited edition. Something RM and Hublot need to take note of. Since AP makes the RM movements why waste $ on a RM when you can get a better looking timepiece for much less in an actual AP. And Hublot just needs to go away.
