Breguet Brings Guilloché to Art Basel Miami


p150Breguet joined in on last week’s festivities at Art Basel in Miami, where other brands, including Girard-Perregaux and Roger Dubuis, celebrated the arts and watchmaking. Breguet brought the ancient art of guilloché to Miami Beach for the citywide event.From December 6th to the 9th, Breguet took part in AD Oasis at the Raleigh Hotel to celebrate innovators and designers in lifestyle luxury.

Breguet’s Boutique at the Bal Harbour Shops hosted a booth complete with the latest collection of watches and a master dial-maker from the Breguet manufacture in Switzerland. Guests were able to view Breguet’s master dial-maker demonstrate the art of guilloché, an age-old craft invented by brand namesake Abraham-Louis Breguet that uses a rose engine to etch intricate patterns onto watch dials. The Breguet interactive booth also allowed visitors to try their hands at etching their own guilloché patterns onto watch dials.
