Baselworld 2014: Sinn EZM 13 Divers’ Watch

Sinn EZM3The German watch brand Sinn, known for its tough, professional-grade diving watches, has released another one at Baselworld 2014, the Sinn EZM 13.

The Sinn EZM 13 is a divers’ watch designed to withstand rugged use. Its airtight case, with a diameter of 41.5 mm, is made of bead-blasted stainless steel. The watch is water-resistant to 500 meters and is certified based on the German standard DIN 8310. (It is also certified for the German diving standard, DIN 8306.) The watch is protected from magnetic fields up to 80,000 A/m. Special oils lubricate its moving parts to ensure that it works properly from -45 degrees to +80 degrees Celsius (-49 to 176 degrees Fahrenheit). The EZM 13 uses Sinn’s Ar-Dehumidifying Technology, which keeps the dial from fogging up in rapid temperature changes. On the dial, indexes have a luminous coating, as do the hands. A date window sits below 4 o’clock. Small seconds are at 3 o’clock. The EZM 13 is powered by Sinn’s automatic SZ02 movement, which modifies the ETA 7750 to allow for a 60-minute counter instead of the usual 30 minutes. It has 25 jewels and runs at 28,800 vph. The watch has a rotating bezel. The screw-down crown and timing pushers are on the left side of the case so they won’t restrict the motion of the hand. And as an additional protection that many divers’ watches lack, the pushers are sealed in a case aperture so that the timer can be activated under water without damaging the movement. Price: $2,960. gee thanks for responding. guess if you’re not interested in high end watches you don’t give a darn about the average person.

I’m looking to purchase a watch for a graduation gift for my daughter. unfortuantely I cannot afford the high end luxury watches. what are the top brands for the average person? Looking to spend no more than 500. She also would like rose gold with a little bling. there is so much out there but little infomation.
