Zenith was a proud sponsor of the 13th Annual “Summer Groove” benefit dinner held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida on July 11th. Hosted by NBA stars Alonzo Mourning and Dwyane Wade, the “Summer Groove” is a festive five-day event that benefits Alonzo Mourning Charities and Wade’s World Foundation. Actress Holly Robinson-Peete served as emcee of the benefit dinner. Attendees included Kenny Smith, Patrick Ewing, Rodney Peete and Jason Taylor.
A live auction featured an 18k rose gold and steel men’s Defy wristwatch donated by Zenith. All proceeds from the sale go directly to the organizations which provide services to youth and their families throughout South Florida.
Now in its 13th year, the Summer Groove has raised money for Alonzo Mourning Charities to encourage the educational development of today’s youth by creating programs and youth enrichment centers that promote positive change in low socioeconomic communities.
“It is extremely admirable that two such esteemed athletes and icons of their sport invest the time, effort and energy to help those young people who have a desire to lead successful lives and fulfill their dreams. By giving an opportunity to today’s children, they are helping to create a better future for us all,” said Paul Ziff, President, Zenith North America.
