Bulgari Auction to Honor Save the Children

Bulgari Astrale

Bulgari will auction an exquisite jewelry and watch collection in December to celebrate their 125th anniversary. The collection is estimated to be worth $4 million and consists of 11 unique jewelry pieces and seven limited edition timepieces. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Save the Children’s Rewrite the Future campaign, which provides quality education for eight million children living in conflict-affected areas around the world. Efforts supporting the campaign are non-profit. Many well-known names have supported the cause.

The pieces were first unveiled in May at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. From June until November, the collection is traveling to various cities in the world where the pieces will be shown at a series of high-profile events. The seven limited edition timepieces to be auctioned at Christie’s are the Diagono Calibro 303, the Diagono Phases de Lune, the Assioma Multicomplication Squelette, the Sotiro Bulgari Quantième Annuel in a white gold and rose gold version, the Assioma D, and the Astrale. All of the watches are engraved with a special inscription celebrating the Bulgari’s 125th anniversary.

Bulgari’s Astrale has a quartz movement and 18k white-gold case mounted on a black satin strap. The dial and bezel are decorated with 263 pavé-cut diamonds. The watch retails for $140,000.
